As one of Zurich’s most renowned restaurants, Il Tartufo delights the senses with a serene elegant ambiance, gracious hospitality and a focus on the contemporary Italian cuisine accompanied by varied classical as well as novel mediterranean dishes. In one of the most beautiful sitting rooms in town, both local Zürcher as well as travelers from far and wide enjoy a delectable menu inspired by the seasons complemented by world class wines.

“A quiet creaking of the fibres between the teeth, a nutty taste which glides across the tongue on the fat from the cream, synaptic fireworks in the head.”

Neuer Zürcher Zeitung about Il Tartufo

We carefully select our suppliers and work with them to ensure we get the best possible ingredients. Our chefs then strive to execute dishes that highlight and elevate the nature of those products. The courses on the tasting menu change to reflect products in season.

Our menu for the next season will be available shortly.

Il Tartufo features a 2,000 bottle cellar, highlighting classic European regions such as Tuscany, Sicily, Burgundy, Champagne, Germany and Greece as well as selected vintages from the new world such as California and Chile.

Wine Menu
The menu represents Nikolopoulos’s knowledge, training and skills, which is marked by his desire to reinterpret classical mediterranean recipes and thereby elevate them to a contemporary and often unfamiliar dimension of sophistication. His profound love of nature manifests itself in allowing fresh and selected products to unfold their natural flavors, not rarely gathering himself the sedimentary deposits forming sea salt from Kalamata in Greece, or selecting, in October each year, only the finest truffles of Alba, Italy. He became head chef at Il Tartufo in 2014 after senior positions in renowned restaurants in France, Switzerland and Singapore.
